Required Skills
- Proficiency in atleast one programming language commonly used for test automation such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or PyTest. Understanding how to implement and maintain test automation scripts efficiently is crucial.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitLab CI for automating build, test, and deployment pipelines. Being able to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines is essential for efficient software delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Clear communication ensures that testing requirements are well-understood and that any issues or bugs are properly documented and communicated to the development team.
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban. Knowing how testing fits into different phases of the SDLC and being able to adapt testing strategies accordingly is important for delivering high-quality software products on time.
