SECR
The SECR could refer to the South East Central Railway, one of the zones of the Indian Railways network. It was formed on 1 April 2003 by bifurcating the South Eastern Railway and East Central Railway zones of Indian Railways.
The South East Central Railway zone is headquartered at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. It primarily serves the states of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The zone operates and manages a vast network of railway lines, catering to both passenger and freight transportation needs in the region. Its primary objectives include enhancing connectivity, improving infrastructure, ensuring safety, and providing efficient transportation services to passengers and freight customers within its jurisdiction.
As with other zones of Indian Railways, SECR plays a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the regions it serves by facilitating transportation of goods and people. It also contributes significantly to the overall transportation network of India.
